Patong Patong Park

Featured Replies

any feedback on Patong Patong Park ( my daughters what to try the bungee jump next weekend)

is it safe?

how are the other attractions there>?

I don't have any specific advice, but I wouldn't let any of my nearest and dearest, anywhere near a bungy jump in Thailand. With the lack of regulations and laws it's just never worth the risk in my opinion. Same goes for parasailing.

Can't vouch for the one in Phuket, but one in CM was 5star and run by a kiwi using NZ standards. Very safe and lot of fun. :)

That's ok if you know the guys personally. If you don't it's still a gamble. In NZ they would be operating to high standards because they had to, because they would be shut down if they didn't. Here you are relying purely on their professionalism and their conscientiousness, which without big brother looking over their shoulder, could easily slip. It's a very different state of mind when you're doing something simply because it's the right thing or doing something because you have to, because the law, which is enforced rigidly, would shut you down if you didn't.

Then there's always the chance that good old Kiwi Pete famous for his work ethics, has moved on and sold up to bodge it Bill, who hasn't a clue what he's doing and doesn't give a stuff as long as the money's rolling in. When you turn up that day, how you going to know? It's your call, but not for me, not here.

You should ask LivinLos if its safe, i am sure he has done it he seems to have done most other things.

Never done it.. A previous GF who worked there (at least a decade plus back) told me not safe dont do.. I took her at her word.

Tho no one remember this

So LiL's advice is no..
