Buying Cigarettes

Featured Replies

I hope somebody can help.....

Ok - i have been in bangkok for 2x months now and the only cigarettes i can find are Marlboro.

I know i should stop smoking but i am looking for very very light cigarettes.

I found Dunhill ultra lights at the airport but cannot find a shop that sells them.

anybody help.

Thanks.

Try King Power near Victory Monument.

Or go to your local 7/11 store or Villa Market.

There's a little shop in Siam Square, around the corner from Kanom Fashion Bakery, that sells imported cigarettes and rizla. They sell Dunhill if I remember right. Anything lighter like Silk Cut, I have never seen anywhere in Thailand.

Sorry for going off topic, but light/mild cigarettes are not less harmful than regular ones cos (almost all) smokers will not only light up more of these perceived mild cigarettes, but also drag/puff much deeper and keeping the smoke inside your lungs much longer to get the needed nicotine fix.

Just what a smoker does not want to hear, but here goes. Way back in 1983, I was a smoker. I sat down with the calculator and based on the prices then, figured out how much I would spend on cigarettes per year and then how much that would add up to over a period of years. Then I decided what other vices I would rather spend that money on instead of burning money (smoking cigarettes). There and then I quit smoking.

Sorry for going off topic.

I'll leave this topic now.

thats not a bad argument for somewhere like the UK where I would spend about 100 000 baht a year just smoking.

here in Thailand its more like 27 000 baht per year.
