Thai Website Translations

Featured Replies

Babefish is a site which will translate a website from one language to another. It covers many languages, but Thai is NOT one of them.

Does anyone know of a way to read a Thai website in English if they do not have an English version available ?

See .... http://babelfish.altavista.com/

No there isn't as far as I know. You could try my site which might help a bit. It works better for relatively short passages rather than long excerpts though.

thai2me.com claim to do automatic translation too, but it's not free and how well it works I don't know.

Hi mike, thai2english.com is yours? I've used it a few times to help me out with translations when I was fishing for the right word. Thanks for a great site! :D

P.S. Let me know if you need any help with further development, I'll be happy to contribute! :o

Yep it's mine, though 90% of the data in it comes from the nectec.or.th Lexitron data. Much appreciate the offer of help, if you'd like to record a few thousand sound files for me to use that'd be great :D :D Seriously though, thanks I'll let you know. Actually I've got a lot of ideas for new things to add, but not the time I'd like to do it :o

Good sites I agree, but I don't think either are intended to translate Thai webpages as paulfr asked. I'm a bit confused about the "sorry Mike!" bit as the only site that seems to charge is the www.thai2me.com one, and that's nothing to do with me! :D:D

Hi mike

Just want to say its good to see you in this forum as well as learningthai.com

Your website has been a great resource for me ... I still find your dedication to helping other students of the Thai language amazing. I dont post in any forums as often as I should, maybe I should take a leaf out of your book!

Not to turn this into a Mike lovefest, but I use your site l the time, its great. Thanks!

I can only agree - Mike's site is an A one resource that saves a LOT of time for anyone interested in reading Thai texts online (well, you need the basics first to really get it, but still). I wish I had discovered it earlier. Good on yer, Mike! :o
