Internet Access Options

Featured Replies

Dear Friends:

I have recently moved into a place on lower Sukhumvit (Bangkok) where the phone system won’t support a DSL line.

I am sure I could use an Air Card but it is not clear to me if one Air Card is better in terms of speed and dependability.

Are there any other Internet hookup options available to me?

Thanks

Siki

If youd decide on 3G and an Aircard is your only option

There are 2 main speed 3.2Mpbs and 7.2Mbps Buy the faster one. Use an ISP using the TOT 3G trial network. Do not use AIS as they only support EDGE speed which are much much slower. Some people will tell you it not worth spending the money on the faster aircard but I do get downloads of 4Mbpbs which i wold not get on slower air card

365 have a unlimited sim for 30days for 790BHT

There are other there the options but I can think of them at the moment. I steer away from True as the seem expensive and network coverge on 3G is not as good presently.

Once you have air card you can change your provider at any time just by changing the SIM in the air card.
