3Bb Customer Service (Tech Support) Ffffffuuuuuuu

I am using 3BB's 8mb indy service, overall pretty decent to be honest. Thank god for content delivery networks, otherwise I would probably go mental. I understand the limitations of bandwidth, so I don't expect "omg zoomy" Western service. Usually ping around 300 ms to US/Euro servers, which to me is decent (FPS/MMORPG's)... To Japan I ping around 120~160 m/s.

Anyway, this is what happened and sent me into a fit of rage:

They did something with port security and my MAC was blocked. Called their "help center" explained what I thought the issue was, and they said they would send out an "engineer" the next day. This "engineer" comes out, honestly has no idea what he is doing (he can't figure out what the default gateway is ...), so I explained to him what he needs to do....Call somebody up that has proper rights up that can trace down my MAC and see what's up. Blank stare.

He plugs in a new switch, and exclaims, "Sir, it works! You need a new switch!". I explain to him, I don't need a new device but this is met with a blank stare and him just repeating that I needed a new device. He leaves and I make my way down to the 3bb office and am forced to buy new stuff from them for 999 baht.

If only I had enough money...I would buy out the majority of the company and retrain all their "engineers" to somewhat Western standards.

Yeah yeah, this is Thailand and lololol at me :/

Yeah, I had a drink. Sorry if this was in the wrong section, I was just very upset. I want to know who trains these techs up, because dam_n they need to teach these guys some more stuff. Or hell, next time I am going to bribe somebody for the phone number of their network engineer or somebody that has admin rights in SNMPc (if they use that here).
