World Cup 2006

Group 5 - United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Yemen, Korea DPR

Probably between UAE and Thailand.

BTW Who is in the running to take over from Peter Withe? And where do I apply :o:D

Oh Stevie - you are a positive thinker.

Thailand will come second to last in the Group.

The Arab teams are head and shoulders above the South East Asian ones.

Withe is out, I think a South American may have taken over.

The new guy is the old guy!! yeah the one who replaced peter is the old one ,who had been kicked out almost 10 years ago, CARLOS. Now Carlos is back again. I have to admit that Thai soccer team sucks.. big time!! We never win anything. The closest place so far was the 4th in Asian games some years ago when Carlos was the manager.

So? Thanks for being supportive to Thai National team but we sucks! lol

I think UAE has the best chance of topping this group. Actually Thailand was lucky to get UAE from pot 1 instead of, say, S.Korea, Japan or Iran but was not so lucky to get Yemen from pot 3 and N.Korea from pot 4 (there were many weaker teams in those pots).

However, with some good performances, Thailand can top the group but even if they do, it will be VERY VERY difficult for them to do well enough in the final round to qualify for the Finals in 2006.

Regards,

Jem
