I'm moving to Jomtien at the end of the month and would value the opininon of anyone in that area about download speeds. I will be using Sling Media stuff which requires good consistent speeds. I would be particular interested to hear from anyone who is using sling box / sling catcher. I've been using JI/net in BKK which has been reasonable up till the middle of the afternoon ahen it rapidly deteriorates and is crap all evening. Tried 3BB which was crap most of the time. From my experience the performance is pretty good from 750 Kbps upwards. Thanks in advance guys.

I've had CAT in Jomtien for 6 years -- good and reliable, but expensive -- Just over 1600 Baht/month for a 1 year contract with 13th month free. Advertised at 2 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, but actually around 1.7 / .5

I'm switching to Sophon-FiberOptic-Cable this month -- less than half the cost and twice the speed.
