Wireless System

Featured Replies

I have a D-Link DSL-G604 ADSL router.

When attempting to repair it there is a message " no supported wireless adaptors available in the system".

Any suggestions ??

I think it has nothing to do with the router... more like a driver or hardware problem in the computer when it is trying to communicate...

You're presumably using a laptop. I think what you've done is to accidentally move the switch which controls your wireless adapter to "Off". If it's a Sony Vaio notebook, the switch is located on the far right and is marked "Wireless" on the case. Move it to the right to re-enable it.

If it's not a Sony, look in the manual which will tell you where the switch is located.

but where does this message come from exactly?

from your OS on the client machine or from the router (in the web interface maybe)? it could be that the router wireless chipset has died (or is not properly recognized).
