Thia Cooking Class Recommendations For Visitors To Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I'm not a very frequent visitor to this sub forum but hope that someone can help.

My sister & her husband are visiting Bangkok in August and were hoping to get involved in a Thai Cooking Class tour during their stay.

Something with a duration of 3 -5 hours.

There are a number of such tours available through local travel agents in her country, but with fees as high as 2,200baht per head.

At 4,400baht a double, l suspect someone is pocketing a huge mark up.

Can anyone recommend a Bangkok Cooking Tour where they can relax, meet people and have a great time cooking and eating famous Thai cuisine without paying a kings ransom?

I view 2,200 Baht a head as a bargain considering that ingredients are provided as well

you may try this one: www.bangkokthaicooking.com/index.html

went there either early 2007 or 2009 for a morning class. fee is still just 1000 baht for 4 to 5 hours (including all the ingredients you buy at a small market tour). has been a really nice experience. definitely a recommendation.

Really apprecitiate your recommendation B.

I think this will be the place we'll attend.

I can't wait to add to my cooking repertoire.

The classes recommended by battambang looks very interesting and I am going to try them out on my next visit. Another school that I enjoyed on my last visit, although I believe I paid 1500b on my last visit is here:
