September 1, 200520 yr Woudn't wash politically, you know what I mean? How about Iran? Oh nuts. They have a Democracy. ...but their electorate keeps voting for the wrong party though. Isn't there some way we can teach them that we don't just want them to be Democratic, we want them also to choose the right winner. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't you mean a Theocratic Democracy? Never took you to be a God-wallah? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Iran a democracy ? Yeah, I guess, if you consider that the ruling mullahs decide who gets to run for office and who goes to jail for opposing their viewpoints. If you consider that there is really only one party to vote for, as any other party that tries to start up is quickly squashed by Internal Security (on orders from those mullahs). If you consider that regardless of what the "politicians" think or do, nothing happens unless approved by the mullahs. Yep, that's democracy for you. Kind of like the DPRK (Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea). Why do so many communist countries put the word "Democratic" in their title ? (or at least they used to). Yeah, you can vote for members of the local Politburo, but it's pretty much meaningless, as the leaders retain absolute power in any event. Saudi Arabia ? Yeah, they fit the bill according to the previous poster, but they are also one of the largest buyers of American military hardware, they allow American military to be stationed in their country, and they supply a large percentage of the oil America needs. One thing that doesn't seem to get mentioned regarding the US led invasion of Iraq. Israel. Iraq (and So-###### Insane) was one of Israel's most dangerous enemies. Allowing Saddam to stay in power would have gauranteed more attacks directed at Israel, and if So-Dumb had ever actually got his hands on a WMD, no doubt he would have fired it at Israel. What would all the nay-sayers be saying now if that had of happened ? Probably a good lot of them would be criticizing the west for not doing something about Sadam earlier. Hypocrites.
September 1, 200520 yr Vietnam was also a success when you listen to war supporters. Speak of denial.Like I said, the American public will wake up from their dreams when the GIs leave Baghdad Saigon style. All this live from CNN of course, which will only add to the humiliation and cowardice of the American army. Will Iraq be better off as an Islamic state like their Iranian neighbors ? maybe not so bad. Iranians seems pretty happy with what they have. It's not the best, but at least they are not being mass murdered by their own leaders or bombed by their liberators. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know quite a few Iranians and let me tell you its no picnic there and most will tell you that they'd love to kick the mullahs out on their arse if the truth be known. However the slightest whisper of such a thing in Iran - will find you arrested, beaten and thrown in jail quicker than you can retract what you said. Def no democracy there - one party and one govt line.
September 1, 200520 yr Author I would have thought that when you are at War, you would use all the resourses available to you that might cut down on your own casualties.Funny way to fight really, maybe they should have armed their guys with pocket knives. You may hate Americans and the war butterfly, but for goodness sake, please can you engage brain before posting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you are not getting my point here. They attacked a weak ennemy who can only fight with WW2 riffles. How is that for heroic battles ? above all when you brag everywhere that you are doing it for them and their freedom. Ridiculous and insulting. Why are they there in the first place ? destroying everything and then leaving like nothing happened. This is the kind of cowardice I am talking about. I don't hate Americans, and I don't want to see America destroyed or all Americans dead. I despise a certain kind of Americans, that's all, the bullshit patriots who think that their shit don't stink and that's they have the whole truth for everything. As for engaging my brain, I never do when I post here, so what's your point ?
September 1, 200520 yr As for engaging my brain, I never do when I post here, so what's your point ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congratulations on the 1,000 posting.

Def no democracy there - one party and one govt line. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a very good friend who is Iraqi Caldean (i.e., and Iraqi Christian), whose family immigrated to the states from Iraq when he was 9 (just before the time Saddam came into power). The stories of persecution and hatred of the Caldeans by Saddam's regime are incredible. Thousands and thousands of people murdered, tortured and imprisoned simply because of their spiritual belief. I can guarantee you the vast majority of Caldeans, save perhaps one (Tariq Aziz) were absolutely thrilled to see Saddam removed from power.

I'd be cheering, to be honest. I know thats politically incorrect, but I've worked for Jewish companies for 20 years and they all behave in the same mingy-stingy way. Never again.

September 1, 200520 yr Believe me, if you deal with the Rothschild family one-on-one, you'll have your mind twisted too ! Amschel Rothschild , whose job I inherited, hung himself a la Michael Hutchence. twit. I don't think I want them nuked though, did I say that? I'm druuunk and can't recall. <Review @ 12.03 am, yes apparently I did say that, so I withdraw about the nuking>

Not only that, you apparently feel seem capable of comparing a bad day at the office with the the foreign policy of the only democratic state in the Middle East. Maybe you should try to be like most Israelis - drink fruit juice.
September 1, 200520 yr They are Democrats, yes I know. Its not them, or Evelyn De Rothschild or Lord R, who were always nice to me. they weren't the problem. It was a Jewish-Indonesian businessman I worked for in Jakarta. He did this 'i'm a Jewboy, I don't like to pay my people' schtick. That was what did for me ! Not sure why i'm telling this story, this is a really personal thing, and a real hot spot for me. Too many drinks at the Sheraton Sukhumvit. Chuchok, why weren't you there to save me?

You can know a hundred English WASP w*nkers, but never make a conclusion about the English race or UK foreign policy on that basis, but meet one schmuck Jewish businessman and you are licking the <deleted> of half-brains like Ken Livingstone, David Irving and most of the European loony left. Oy Vey.

September 1, 200520 yr Anti-Semitism (or any form of racism) is a weird form of logic. We can't bring this kind of debate into Thai visa. Perhaps over a 'Beer Cheers' in 10 years time in Sukhothai.
