Best Pub To Watch Football Or Rugby

Featured Replies

I've tried a few of the Irish pubs and they're ok, but The Dubliner was only showing the rugby in the pool bar on the top floor which wasn't great and the Irish Xchange didn't have the commentary on for the football. Are there any pubs that will have a reasonable crowd for the rugby on Saturday afternoon, that have English commentary, a good atmospehere and cold beer? Also, same applies for the football in the evening, any ideas? Preferably pubs in the Sukhmvit and Silom areas. Cheers

Gullivers, Suk soi 5 I think, big screens and a good laugh.

I would definetly agree with The Ace Face and say Gullivers on soi 5. If it is a big game best to get in early to make sure you get a seat.

Find a bar that has the South African Satalite..It shows all rugby games. These pubs normally have UBC as well, which means they can also show the football providing they have enough TV's.

UN Irish pub in Chiang Mai is great, but I guess it's a bit far away for you. :o

Go to Gulliver... plenty of beer; bar food and lotsa screens. Nice crowd too; Dubliner is less into the sport than the guys who sit near the big screen at Gullivers and costs more.

But lately since going there it seems like there is something is wrong with the TV. No matter what I watch the Aussies they seem to be losing; it is brilliant and I am not complaining.

I am scared to go watch anywhere else now, because there is nothing better than watching a game live with an Aussie when they are losing. Which seems to happen all the time of late in Gulliver :D:D:D:D

I really hope they don't fix their TV soon :o
