Daffy D Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 So "her indoors" cracked one of the mirrors on the Yamaha Fino. Not possible to get replacement glass you have to buy the whole assembly Not possible to buy just one mirror assembly they only sell them in pairs
Daffy D Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 The same with shoes. Yes but I don't want a whole shoe I just want a lace
Khun Ngo Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 A pair of mirrors costs between 80 and 120 Baht. Keep the second mirror as a reserve for when they trash the next one.
ignis Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Same with pick-ups, and there anything between 7 - 13,000 baht a pair !!
bifftastic Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Yeah we had the same thing. The dealership, quite understandably, pointed out that they have to buy them in pairs and if they sold us one, who would buy the other one? We now have a spare mirror, Ms Tastic has been instructed which way to fall off next time
PoorSucker Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Go to a rental shop. I have loads of spare mirrors all right side.
H2oDunc Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I got just the one mirror for the missus Nouvea from the local Yamaha dealer. No mention of having to buy a pair less than 100 baht
bobbin Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I bought a single mirror for the CBR150 at Mityon Pataya...
Daffy D Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Now thats interesting. 4 posters say you can only buy a pair of mirrors and 2 say they were able to buy just one from the dealers Is this a regional thing? As for having to buy a pair for a pick-up that's over the top even for TIT I've never heard of this in Farangland. It doesn't make sense for people to have all these unwanted mirrors lying about the house and not very environmentally friendly.

bifftastic Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Maybe it's just Fino's? Ours wasn't a Yamaha dealer, just a general motorsai shop. Maybe that's got something to do with it?
SweatiePie Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 MItyon sell them singly (but originals are more than 80 - 120 baht each!).
