Connecting Notebook To Analog Tv

Featured Replies

I would like to use my notebook to connect to hotel room TVs and watch movies from my HD. Being that most hotels have older analog AV jacks and few have HD, what's the easiest way??

A PC to TV (aka VGA to Video converter) is what you need assuming your notebook has a VGA port, most do.

Maybe someone knows a shop that offers something like it.

Thanks tywais.....I just realized that my op should be more specific.

Notebook has both HDMI and VGA ports and assuming most mid range hotels have RCA plugs.

so that gadget does sound as well??

Yes, where in LOS.....or locally in CM can I get one??

Yes, the above converts your VGA notebook signals to RCA plugs. There are some at Shop4Thai but too expensive compared to the one I showed. Will wait to see if others have suggestions as to where - I'm interested also. ;)

As for CM, perhaps Amorn would be a good bet.

Some notebooks (older models) have an S-video socket, and a simple cable will convert that to RCA for the video,

then an audio jack to red/white rca for the sound.
