More evidence against ex-husband in Bnaid Al-Gar murder

KUWAIT: Criminal investigators revealed additional details regarding the murder of a female citizen that took place earlier this month that may be sufficient enough to hold the crime's main suspect under arrest, reported Al-Rai. A Kuwaiti woman in her thirties was killed on January 9 after being attacked with an axe near a residential complex in Bnaid Al-Gar by a suspect who fled the scene after committing the crime. The victim's ex-husband, a bedoon resident, has been considered a main suspect in the case given the fact that death threat charges were previously pressed against him by the victim.

Recent investigations revealed that the suspect fled the country one hour after the crime occurred and that he used a forged Canadian passport to get into Bahrain. From there he went to Thailand using another forged Canadian passport. Kuwaiti authorities, working with their counterparts in Bahrain and Thailand, were able to confirm that the man made his way to both countries but that his whereabouts remain unknown.

Meanwhile, authorities in Kuwait uncovered the mystery of the white Ford salon that the killer used to escape the murder scene, according to witnesses. An investigation revealed that the suspect rented the car for one month using one of his forged Canadian passports and used it to carry out his crime after he tinted its windows and removed its license plates. According to the rental agency, the suspect called them from Thailand and informed them that he left the car in the parking lot of the Kuwait International Airport. The rental agency reported that the car was in bad shape and that scraps of food and a blanket were found inside the vehicle, hinting that the suspect may have used the car as a place to sleep.

I lived in Kuwait for many years. Culturally there are generally two kinds of Kuwaiti citizens, Hathar and Bedoon. Hathar were the coastal dwelling pearl diving, trading community, while the Bedoon were nomaic inland herdsmen. Oil changed everything. They both got richer, but socially the bedoon where left behind (by choice more likely than not) I remember while I was there a man who stalked his sister and her boyfriend. Upon hearing his sister had a boyfriend he waited for them to go out in the car together and he followed them untill they hit a red light when he proceeded to get out of the car and shoot them both dead. He recived a minimal sentence, just 7 or so years.

Likewise if you have a girlfriend there, ESPECIALLY a Kuwaiti one, if you get her pregnant, you have 2 choices, jail time or you need to marry her..
