Dear All,

We will be extremely grateful if you could join us, or spread the word about our charity fundraiser in support of Baan Dada's Children's home this coming Saturday, February 5th.

Baan Dada is a Children’s Home and community economic development center located on the Thailand/Burma border. Baan Dada is home to approximately 60 disadvantaged or orphaned children.

Baan Dada started in 1994 as an agriculuture project, but quickly transformed into the community service project that it is today. Some of the projects (besides the Children’s Home) that we are involved in include an eye care outreach program, a health care outreach program, and the building of a technical college.

The children’s home was started in an effort to protect the growing number of orphaned and disadvantaged children in the area. Sangklaburi borders Burma (Myanmar) where many refugees and migrant families moved to this area due to poverty, disease, and political repression by the Burmese military Government.

I'd really like to appeal especially to all you expats out here who have been treated well in this country and would like to show their appreciation by giving something back. I'm certain that most of you are busy, and that you've probably contributed to many charitable activities already, but participating can be as simple as telling a few friends about us.

Please visit our website here and see for yourself how even the smallest of help can go a long way.

I respect that many of you are busy so let me assure you that there are many ways you can help, some of which will take just a few minutes.

1. We'd love for you to attend our upcoming Family Day fundraising event in Thonglor this Saturday. Not only will your funds go directly to Baan Dada but you'll enjoy an afternoon of great food, cheap drinks and likeminded great people. Information can be found as a Facebook Event Here.

2. Please help us publicize this event. Help us by posting this message in your blog, on your facebook wall, email and talk to your friends and family. At the very least, in doing this you'll be helping to bring awareness to a selfless and much-needed cause.

3. Donate your time or money. Get in touch with Baan Dada and see how you can personally contribute. Even the smallest act of volunteering or the tiniest donation will go a long way.

... For those of you still reading, thank you sincerely for your time. Just by reading this message you've made a small step to improving the life of the children and adults who Baan Dada can help.

Please now take a few additional steps and really make a difference.

Thank you all,

On behalf of Baan Dada and In Search of Sanuk (the event organizers)

Martin Pavion
