Bringing A Cat To Thailand

Featured Replies

Can tourists or non immigrant B visa holders bring a cat into Thailand without quarantine?

Thanks

What for you want to bring a cat into Thailand for, they are laying around on the tables in all the food shops you go into.

All resturants keep em incase they run out of chicken [CAT,THE OTHER WHITE MEAT] and we also got plenty of dogs too. Coarse they don't taste as good as CAT.

With proper vaccinations it shouldn't be a problem. At least it isn't with dogs, I know a couple of people who have brought their dogs from UK and the US. Bringing it out of Thailand again (to Europe or the US) will be more difficult.

I think that a tourist would be pushing it. Go to the Thai Embassy in your homeland ...they'll list the requirements, and advise whether a tourist can do it.

Isn't it interesting how one's mind wanders over these topics? It got me thinking about what I would need to do should I for any reason wish to repatriate our two soi dogs, now pets. It really is quite vexatious to contemplate the stresses and miseries pet owners must endure to remain contiguous with their animal pals. Just a thought!
