Having seen the Brazil game when Ronaldo ? dropped down as if poleaxed, and was even fined for these theatrics I didn't expect to see that performance topped..

(Astonishingly the the Brazil manager, ( Big someone or other), defended him..and was considered as the England manager !)

However I believe Nani now tops it. I don't care how badly he was injured, to actually cry and wail like a 2 year old.I'm sure he will be happy that he is now being mocked avidly on the internet.

it was rivaldo. and i think his was one of the most embarrassing fakes i've ever seen, if not the most embarrassing. slaven bilic in the 98 world cup was pretty bad to get laurent blanc sent off too.

also cristiano ronaldo's recent one takes some beating.

you scouse really do get worked up about this - own thread and all - perhaps we can put together a compilation of Stevie G's best?

The tackle was sad and Nani's reaction was a little melodramatic - as we have come to expect from the man - but the injury was not feigned, as i'm sure you and thousands of others, including the commentator, accused him of at the time... so no, not the most embarrassing display.

Plenty of examples out there of players (including Nani) acting as if they have been shot, and then springing to their feet bright as a daisy when play continues. Should be a bookable offence in my opinion. bah.gif

Rivaldo feining the facial injury was the worst ever in my view by some distance. Straight red that was.

Absolutely..

However all cheating is bad, feigning Injuries & conning Refs, it's just deciding what level of cheating is worse which is a pretty crap thing overall..

But as far as embaressing displays go, some would say that one of their Players pulling out of a Challenge for example would be embaressing..

Nah I don't see how it could be even close to the most embarrassing display, he did have an actual injury after all.

As a child, he must have been picked up by his mother all the time because he was screaming his eyes out cos he dropped his dummy. If I'd have cried like that my dad would have kicked me in the other leg for embarrassing him. :D

Injury or not, it was a pathetic display. I have played Rugby were guys have had fractured ribs and bones and watched guys in the Field Gun displays lose fingers and not seen any of them cry like that.

Some people are more emotional than others, thats all it is...no need to slag his mam off for being a caring mother now is there?

I lve Nani now.....slowly slowly there is the same traits following on from our other winger that everyone hated :D great to see.

Ps got any tickets? :jap:
