Instead of travelling to work to reach my destination, I will think of this routine as part of the picture I paint today. When a friend makes a comment, I will think of it as another brush stroke in my painting and join in with them, rather than making a game or contest which I must try to win. I was taught that success was having the highest score, always trying to be right, striving for financial security, or pushing myself to some new achievement. Success may not be coming out on top. When my life is lived as a rich and interesting painting, I find myself rewards that are far deeper and more lasting. May the picture I paint today be one I carry with me and appreciate. That being said... money brings me happiness because with money comes freedom and with freedom is indepenence and security. Its's sad that this is how the world functions. I hate money yet I want $1,000,000,000 so that I could live my life with no worries forever and have the luxury of knowing my future generations will have all the freedom money provides. God I really hate money... freedom brings me happiness. Today a guy at my work from Pakistan was telling me a story about this poor man who had his leg blown off by a gang just because they were bored and it just makes me have to appreciate the freedoms I do have in Canada and all of the opportunities alloted to me that the majority of the worlds populace will never have. It's sad too to see how the world is one big hole that's policed by rich ignorant countries. Yeaa... enough ranting. I keep my body clean and in as best shape as I can muster. Money itself doesn't make me happy. Freedom makes me happy for the time being... I'm finding that methods of happiness is constantly changing. Right now I'm happy and content. Sure I might worry about future things but, I never worry about the past because what's done is done.
