Hey guys

Need some pointers here. Want to change the standard rubber grip to a more chopper style, stainless steel with rubber inserts.

Does the bike require specific model/size or would any typical grip work.

Oh and does any one know how much the black body panel (not the 'carbon fiber') costs?

The 'grips' are standard size. I just changed mine.

Ok now that's done. I want to know if there are any performance differences if I change the air filter to WirusWin and the exhaust system as well? Or are they just cosmetic changes

If they make beter noise and performance, what do you guys suggest?

I'll be able to tell you soon as my PCX has gone back to SumetCycle to have very similar mods added.

I have a similar air filter to the Wirus one.......except mine was 2000 baht as opposed to Wirus at 4,000?

I have also added an OVER rainbow coloured exhaust, custom seat, rear skirts, different handles, YSS shocks etc etc etc.

My PCX is the new red colour. Brian is hopefully getting the black side panels and the bit in front of the seat........all colour matched.

I'll let you know how the air filter and exhaust perform when I get the bike back. Hopefully very soon.

Most grips will usually fit. Sometimes they can be a bit longer than needed, but they are still usable. I had an Over exaust and air filter similar to the one Phatcharanan described. The Over exaust gives a really nice sound and looks great. Top speed was the same, but it did seem to have more power and better acceleration. Are you looking to get the standard flat black panels or do want them painted shiny black? The panels themselves are not that expensive. I can't recall the exact price at the moment, but I can let you know when I get into the shop tomorrow. If you are nearby, we can source and install all of the parts and accessories you wish to change or replace. If not nearby, we can still source the parts and accessories for you and ship them. I'll be posting photos of Phatcharanan's bike in the next few days if you are interested in seeing our work. Thanks.

So far I'm looking for exhaust (or just the cover), and the air filter if they make performance better. I'm not in a rush so it's a constant WIP. Next project would be the tyres finally. Then exhaust. and then see where I can go from there. Looking to make it unique but not crazy OTT.

For the exhaust, do they have to be chromed??? or can I get them in matt black! Yeah I know it's against the idea of moding but I just love the flat black exhaust?

So far I haven't come across any flat black exausts for the PCX. I am sure they exist. I will do some research and let you know. There are also some nice exaust covers available. For the tires, I would suggest the IRC Wings. They wider than the stock tires and provide better grip. The stock IRCs are made in Thailand, but the wings are imported from Japan.
