Motorola Xoom On Hutch Or Cat Cdma Network

Featured Replies

Will the Motorola Xoom work on Hutch or CAT CDMA network ?

It does take a SIM card ...

Any pointers appreciated !

Thanks,

rudi

That's a good question. In the past I have asked Hutch about using phones from other CDMA carriers and they said they couldn't activate them if they didn't use a SIM card. Slowly Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. are converting to the CDMA with SIM card technology. If there is a SIM card slot in the Xoom it should work provided it is not SIM locked. That is something else you are going to need to find out and if it is locked find out the cost to buy an unlock code, if you can. You also hae to make sure you have a CDMA version of the Xoom to work with Hutch.

Hi Jack,

it is a Verizon version Xoom, so yeah it is CDMA. The Motorola

Xoom is easily unlocked - thats the easy part.

I just found out that the SIM card is only used with the 4G LTE

modem (after an upgrade). So right now it does not use the SIM

card.

Thanks,

rudi
