KARACHI, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- Violence in Karachi, Pakistan on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of 11 people, local media reported.

At least three people were shot dead in Pirabad, Pakistan's Express Tribune reported. One of the victim's brother, Pehalwan, claims his brother was murdered because of his ethnicity, as he had no political ties.

During the shooting, a 26-year-old passerby was also shot and died while receiving medical treatment.

In a separate incident, gunmen stormed a tea shop near Metro Cinema and opened fire, injuring six people. They were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Civil Hospital in Karachi, but two of the injured later died.

Earlier, a 22-year-old Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker was shot dead on MA Jinnah Road, and a 65-year-old resident of Gulshan-e-Bunair was shot twice to the head while he was waiting at a bus stop to return to his hometown in Swat.

In North Karachi, two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire against a 35-year-old man who was with a friend and a 7-year-old child. All three later succumbed to their wounds at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. A bystander was also injured during the incident, receiving several gunshot wounds.

Near Karachi's Garden Police Headquarters, a young man, who reportedly ran an estate agency, was also gunned down on Tuesday.
