Philippine Airlines Flight 104, which was traveling from Manila, Philippines to San Francisco, California, landed at the airport at around 7:20 p.m. local time, where police were waiting to escort the aircraft to a remote section of the airport, the San Francisco Examiner reported. The 337 passengers and 20 crew members were evacuated and then taken to a federal inspection area where they were unsure of the situation, while police explosive teams, including trained bomb-sniffing dogs, found no explosive devices. The Philippine Airlines' cargo office had earlier received a threatening call, and even though no particular flight was signaled, authorities were notified and decided to carefully inspect the aircraft. Early Wednesday morning, at around 12:15 a.m. local time, passengers were waiting to pick up their luggage. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-03-23
