I bet Tom Finney never run around blasting obscenities at any one who happened to be there.

There's an interesting article from a couple of years ago you might like to read, about him walking to the ground on match day with his boots in a brown paper bag etc

They bred 'em tough in our day L.B. - you had to be to drive an old Ford Zephyr. :D

I remember Tom Finney a great player and extremely loyal to Preston, though he did consider an offer from Palermo in 1952.

Bill Shankly said of Sir Tom; "Tom Finney would have been great in any team, in any match and in any age ... even if he had been wearing an overcoat."

I guess there's no finer tribute.smile.gif
