Lord Triesman, the former FA chairman, has accused 4 FIFA Executive members of soliciting bribes in connection with England's failed 2018 World Cup bid.

One of the four accused is Worawi Makudi, president of the Thai FA since 2007 and a member of FIFA's executive committee.

Lord Triesman alleges that Worawi demanded the TV rights for a friendly match between England and a Thai eleven.

Sounds like a load of sour grapes to me because our bungs were'nt big enough, and lets face it, the Russian and Qatari ones would have been huuuuge!!!

I wonder whether the business of the tv rights would have cropped up if the Thai delegate had voted for us and not defected.

Ole Worawai is stupider than I thought - he thinks he's going to go for Triesman on libel - my understanding is that Triesman has immunity from such in the UK, as it was Parliamentary panel. sue that Triesman's hardly going to turn up in a Thai court.

Easy words for him then.
