Does anyone know a Thai insurance company/broker that will take payment by a non Thai credit card for car insurance?

Posted

I use my Capital One Card to pay for Auto Insurance from the largest Auto Insurance company in Thailand The Viriyah Insurance Co. Ltd. No service fee from Capital One, nor from the Auto Insurance office. The small captive office of Viriyah in our small town did not have a credit card terminal and they wanted to fax the information to a regional center. The larger office in the provincial capital has the credit card terminal.

I pay my annual house insurance premium and annual BUPA medical Insurance premium with the same non Thai credit card through Eric Dohlon a very experienced Insurance Broker based with an office in Phuket, even though I live in Isaan. No service fee on any end with that bi lingual licensed insurance broker or with that card provider. The exchange rate from Capital One makes it worth considering.
