I'm thinking of getting one for my 5 year old boy. It's mainly to keep him quiet in the car etc. He'll use it to do games, both fun and educational and if possible put films on it.

The following are points I considered when looking at this; please don't flame me for digging my heels in about certain things eg Operating System.

1. I like to use Open Source whenever possible and this uses Android.

2. Price - it seems to have alot for much less than the ipad.

3. My wife likes the TV tuner capability, but I haven't seen it in action yet.

4. The battery life seems OK.

5. I think that the 7 inch display is easier for kids to hold than the ipad.

I would be grateful for your thoughts.

I don't know this tablet but according to this link the specs are very low, it's a Thai made tablet and the prices is listed as 11,900 with 4GB RAM. At that price I'd rather get a 16GB Ipod-1 at 12,700.

I'm not an Apple fan, but Android tablets are just still too expensive compared to Ipad's.
