Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine asked me about getting a couple of camping accessories last night. He thought it may be better to buy in Thailand as apparently the brand is made here. I said I would try to help but am not sure of any camping stores in Phuket. I live in Phuket Town so if anyone knows any places in this area that are good for camping equipment then please let me know. The items he was specifically after were an MSR Titan Kettle and a Pocket Rocket (I await some comedic replies to that!!!). In seriousness though, if anyone can help out then it would be much appreciated.

The sports store on the first floor at Jungceylon near the main entrance did have camping gear

awhile back, worth checking out if you are going to Patong

There's a reasonable camping section in Supersport at Central Festival.

As an avid long distance hiker, I know what a "pocket rocket" by MSR is (and even own one back in the states)

I could use one here too as I go camping and hiking around here. I had to make an alcohol stove instead.

I have never seen one for sale in Thailand.

It doesn't surprise me that they are made here but, they are made for MSR and they don't distribute here that I know of.

I've never even seen the fuel canisters that a Pocket Rocket uses for sale in Thailand.

Tell him to try ebay.

As for the titanium cook kettle, Same same.

not the ground floor that has camping gear they even had Kayaks
