New Year in London

Come and celebrate New Year in London! The streets of the city come alive on the stroke of midnight as Big Ben chimes in the New Year. London is seething with entertainment for all ages.

Dance till dawn at a top nightclub or bar, cruise into 2004 with a special trip down the Thames or enjoy an evening of laughter at the capital’s premier comedy venue. Link arms with friends to sing Auld Lang Syne and steal kisses from strangers. B)

London Mayor, Ken Livingstone is the capital’s darling this New Year. All tubes and buses will operate a free 24 hour service on New Year’s Eve. The move was attacked as an election ploy by Conservatives, but has proved popular with Londoners and visitors alike.

Tubes will run all night for the first time since the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations last year. There will be extra night buses and many national rail services will continue until 5am. Over 400, 000 extra revelers are expected in the centre of town.
