Satellite Phone Battery

Featured Replies

Basement of Big C in Phuket Town. Many many phone & accessory shops.

It's a satellite phone, so I'm not so sure about that... but yes, the bottom of Big C has everything for the regular phones.

Thailand is not like Australia and other countries with huge areas with no phone service

and the only phone that will work is a satellite phone

I have travelled over a lot of Thailand and never had any problem using a normal cellular phone

As mentioned Big C is your best bet, you may be able to buy secondhand accessories there

That's true Peter. I am always surprised when I visit my family in the US and find that I don't have cell phone reception in some rural area. About the only place in Thailand where I don't have reception is Khao Sok National Park. I do spend a lot of time there doing rather adventurous stuff and the satisfaction of knowing I could get help via a phone is certainly desirable. I'll check Big C.

Cheers

you may not find the battery you need, but some of the shops can replace the cells inside your existing battery

Ah, I wasn't aware that they could do such a thing, thanks!

I'm not 100% sure the battery is bad, I need the charger to find out. I got this phone from the OP, but he didn't have the charger. I would, of course, hope that all I need is the charger. I reckon the battery might be a bit dear.

Thanks for your help.

PM me and i will get in touch with a shop who has them, i got that phone as well

Also the shop has sim and talk time card,,, and charger :)
