Question About Resort In Chaweng Beach (First Bungalow Beach Resort)

Featured Replies

Greetings all....

Apologies for ( i guess) yet another resort/bungalow/hotel question.... but i am just very curious since i am going to Samui in 2 days and i am on a extreme budget - modo.

In 2006 (the week of the coup by the army) i stayed in Samui for some days at some very cheap bungalow place, located south of Chaweng beach. For people who know the beach, its the beach with Centara, etc on it, and this resort im looking for is just a walk down (south) the beach till you cant go further and its just on the right. I remember 6 or 10 bungalows all lined up together. Its near some rocky sea area where some fishermen's boats often were parked.

When driving on Had Chaweng 1, towards the beach after taking the turn left, starting Chaweng's 'beach road' that leads north, it is the first resort one on the right.

My question is , i cant find it anywere on the web and all i can find is First Bungalow Beach Resort. Google maps/Earth shows( i guess) the bungalows but its directly in the area of this First Bungalow Beach Resort. Looking at this resorts website, it not the same and far more expensive. Does anyone know by any change if these cheap bungalows are still there? ( they were really basic... for a really low price, but a wonderful location, overlooking the whole beach to the north.) I dont expect people to do heavy research, im just trying my luck if someone knows it by accident :D

As i do have minor doubts i can get an answer on this, i'd like to take the oppertunity to ask an additional question:

Budget (max 1000/night) going with my GF who is in LOS for first time. What beach is best? Not looking for party, just a decent place to sleep with acces to the beach within minutes. If the need for party/bar is there, some drive to Chaweng can be made :) Boh Put? Lamai? ....or Chaweng (again?) Will now check out topics.. who know i can find something there :)

Thx in advance..sorry for the long text :)

Hello Yaroon.

Sounds like you are looking for Seaside Bungalows.

It's still there.

You can get a bungalow with fan on the beach for 600 baht/low season, 1000 baht/high season.

Aircon for 800 baht/low season, 1200 baht/high season.

Quiet: Chaweng Noi, Chongmoen, Fisherman village(Bophut).

Not Quiet: Lamai, Central Chaweng.

Actually the place you refer on your first post (Seaside bungalows) is still quiet.

Hi Yaroon an chance to find out how muc its cost you and where as we are going to samui soon

Cheers

bohput beach is poor going on non existent. If you want to move to Lamai stay at best resort 10 seconds to the beach and a great pool but basic accomodation (bed/bathroom/safe/tv/fridge) so only really good for sleeping. I have their email if you want it, 20% cheaper than booking online!

That sounds quite interesting..........

Boh Put beach was recommended by my (everlasting low budget traveling) friend.... Only made a 1-day reservation. I just checked out Best resort...... it doesnt look like 10 secs to the beach but it does look decent. It aint a cousy basic beach view bungalow though :P Guess you stayed there before?

edit:

As for the bungalow beach view...expecting this while having a budget price in mind, thats quite naive :D (or not...?) On second thought, please do provide me the emailaddress,... 20% of 800 baht is quite cheap and worth of 1 day stayover ;-)

Just found the best resort website... it looks fine they do have some bungalows (dont like big building structured hotels). would appreciate if you can send me email address

The 20% comes automatically or need to request it ? ;)

Edit:

Tripadvisor reviews show that this place aint that bright, people with mental issues seem to work there :P
