Thai gold (as well as middle-eastern) tends to be very pure, 20k and up, compared to 10-18k common on jewellery in North America, and Europe. That's why it's slightly darker.

I knew that. I didn't understand why it was put that way.

It's one of the few things that I can think of, that Thailand has that's actually worth more than it is in the East. Did I put that the right way? That includes Thai silk, cotton, etc.

      The 5-Year 900,000 Baht fee is horrendous, in my opinion. I've had a Marriage Visa for 37 of my 40 years here. 1,900 Baht per year now. 2,500,000 Baht for 10 years! Wow! But if the foreigner is very rich, then why not? There must be more desirable and cheaper countries to move to though.

      I wouldn't try a taser against a nut with a sword. Perhaps you aren't aware that police tasers have at least a 30% failure to subdue. Druggies are the ones least affected by tasers. I suspect this "monk" is definitely on something strong -or having a psychotic episode. Bean bag rounds would probably work better, but still no guarantees.
