Is Prime At Sukhumvit 11 A Good Place To Live?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Your collective advice about the Trendy was extremely helpful, so continuing on the search I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Prime? It is a new building, not onlike Trendy and just around the corner from it, except being on Soi 11 it is in a much more attractive neck of the neighbourhood. I took a look and although pricey, it has the pool, gym, etc. and no obvious faults. Any thoughts much appreciated!

Cheers,

TG

Prime 11 is a great location...easy access to Nana BTS, Villa Market, Bumrumgrad, bars/restaurants etc. The pool and gym are above average by condo standards and the concierge service in the lobby provides good convenience. Best to rent a unit on the southern side (great unblocked views), or western side, otherwise you could be disturbed by noise from Bed Supper Club if you on the eastern (road) side at a lower floor.

Agree Prime at 11 is a good place to live. If you get the same or similar rent there as Trendy you should go for it. But they are not even remotely similar, I.e., Prime is a much better place.

Thanks, both, for your input. Do either of you live there? How well do you know it?

I have not lived there but know the place through a co-worker that lived there for his first 6 months of settling into Bangkok. He only left because he decided to buy a condo closer to work.

Bed Supper Club

that alone is (more than) enough to give it (very) wide passage

I own a 2BR unit there on a high level facing south, so in that respect, I have good knowledge of the building.

Why? Noise?

It is BS just a little (no pun intended) penis envy.

The question should be "Is Soi 11 a great place to live?"

I answered that myself when I saw a woman carrying bags of groceries form Villa market pushing through tourists milling around vendor stalls and on past a group of drunks to get to her apartment building.

My colleague answered that through his other half who gets propositioned by a different fat white guy every time she goes downstairs to check the mail. Every morning and every night he gets hassled by pimps, taxi drivers, tuk tuk drivers, vendors, touts etc etc and cant wait to get out of there.

Noise, pollution, crowds, sleaze....not my idea of a great neighbourhood~!

Well it took reading through your entire post, but there we have the answer; you do not live there and neither you nor your "colleague" know the building.
