How and where can I sign up for this AIS home internet service? I do not speak Thai so would need something in English in order to sign up. I am interested in the 10Mbps/10Mbps service.

Does the 990 baht / month cover unlimited use? Oh, and I live in Bangkok.

Thank you!

I have no idea. You will have to call them.

Thanks everyone. I called them and it seems they do not yet provide service to the Klongtoey section of Bangkok. I had no idea it would be so hard to find broadband hi-speed internet here in Bangkok. Right now the only provider I have is the one our apartment offers from CS Loxinfo. They are expensive and slow (1,000 baht for 2 Mbps).

Does anyone know which hi-speed ISP will service the Klongtoey section of BKK?

No Airnet in KlongToey? Thats ridiculous. CS Loxinfo has very decent connection actually, but overall download speed is low. Pings are very good thanks to their for non-oversold network. If I had choice, I would get CS Loxinfo for surfing / backing up main connection and TOT for downloading large files where ping is not important.

I'm actually interested in streaming video from the States, so speed is fairly important. CS Loxinfo has been ok, but I don't think it will work for streaming TV very well. Also, I need it for gaming online with Xbox :)

For online gaming you don't need speed, you need better ping times.

Try pinging some US addresses like microsoft.com, he.net, softlayer.com and peer1.net

If you get anything under 300ms and a little bit above 200ms then you are lucky.

If your CS Loxinfo internet is not oversold / shared in whole condo, it should be ok.

good information to have. Thanks! I am getting about 250-260 ms pings from those sites. Now the question is will that be good enough for streaming video?
