You can apply for the extension any time within the final 30 days of your stay.

You can do a 90 day report 15 days before and up to 7 days after the date.

so yes do them on the same day.

I thought it was 7 days before (not 15). Has it changed or have I got it wrong (again!)?

I did them the same day last December. While doing the extension I was asked to show my receipt for the 90 day report which I just had done.

I accept that you can do your extension up to 30 days before the actual date. Will that effect me if my money hasn't been in a Thai bank for the qualifying period beforehand ?

Is the money to be seasoned for 2 or 3 months for a renewal of marriage extension? I think it's 2; am I right?

Oh, thank you. At my last visa extension I waiting around for the extension and then did the 90 day report. I didn't know I could do them in reverse order, while I'm waiting for them to call my number for the visa extension. Great idea.

The last time I did my retirement extension in Chiang Mai, while doing the paperwork for the extension, the nice female Imm Officer actually took my passport over to the window and did my 90 day report also. Can't ask for better than that. :)

Go early to Immigration Soi 5 Jomtien.. Get there for 9-00am or before Leave your car well away from Immigration office, hard to park .Leave it down Soi 5 or on beach road and walk up to the Office.

I was told by immigration that the total time span is 14 days (not 22) and that is 7 days before (not 15) and 7 days after, please confirm if this has changed recently.

It changed to 15 days before from the previous 7 several months ago.

Hi Lopburi3

Do you have a contact at Immigration who can update their website? The following just lifted from bangkok.immigration.go.th:

The notification must be made within 7 days before or after the period of 90 days expires. :jap:

Updates to immigration website are few and far between - they still show Bangkok location as Suan Phlu; and, unfortunately, do not believe they have a Twitter account to make such announcements yet. Perhaps an idea?
