Weird Craigslist Page Loading

Featured Replies

As the title says, what is causing this? Why does my computer go to Adelaide craigslist when im in Thailand?

The fonts on my laptop are also resizing on their own, has someone taken over my laptop from Adelaide?

There is nothing much in Adelaide in the social columns...

Ive deleted my history multiple times within the past month, but every once in a while it will load the Adelaide page out of the blue.

This is really weird, since craigslist detects your location.

<deleted>, just now it loaded a craigslist page from Poland.

Think its time to reformat?

hmmm...turned off the remote access and its back to loading the thailand page.

But how did the remote access rights get checked in the first place?

Well it worked for 2 days. Now it went to Warsaw, Poland again.

Even after i cleared the cache.

Have an anti virus to recommend? I removed the last one i had because it slowed my system down.

You can get 3 different free AV software, AVG, Avira and Avast, from download.com.

They're all excellent, pick one and keep it updated. If your AV software slows your system down there's a problem somewhere or you have seriously old hardware.

Do us all a favor and do not leave your computer unprotected. Hacked computers are the main source of spam and malware on the Internet.

I had Avast, but it started throwing up false warnings after a while.

What about the others?

I use Avast and think it's just fine, but if you don't like it try one of the others.

I had Avast, but it started throwing up false warnings after a while.

Which is better, a false warning or a missed detection? No antivirus product is perfect. ;)

I also recommend Avast, and don't have problems about false warnings, I would also load Malwarebytes and run that also....
