Solar Garden And Spot Lights - Supplier In Phuket

Recommended Posts

I need to buy a selection of solar powered garden lights, including 'ambience' and spot lights.

I think solar power technology for these types of lights has advanced in the past few years, such that it is possible to purchase lights that provide a reasonably intense light, and where the rechargable battery supply is sufficient to last the whole night.

Is there a recommended supplier in Phuket with a good selection of solar powered products? HomePro seems only to offer a minimal range of low quality products.

Thanks - Simon

has anyone used solar lights for more than 2 years? I have tryed a bunch, my neighbors have, now glowing an hour or two each evening and then dead.

back to wires in ground

Same for me, I would be happy to know some good quality and longer lasting brand.

The place on Choa Fa Rd. is just before the Courtyard if you are travelling toward Chalong. Solar panel and wind tubine on the frontage. They have solar panels and solar water heaters for sale. Not sure about lights.

I visited Abo solar this morning. They have more solar light styles than you can shake a stick at! The owner is Italian, has his main shop in Chiang Mai, and is closing his Phuket shop on the 23rd of this month. If you buy in quantity - ie more than one or 2 products, then the discount is between 40-50% !

I was impressed with their choice and came away with their brochure and a couple of different solar garden lights to test.

additionally, they can supply solar water heating systems. Their non-pressurised, 150 litre system (ideal for 2 pax) was of interest to me because it is the right size to supply hot water for a 2-pax guest room. also of interest was that the standard price of just 12,900 baht would be discounted by 40-50% if I bought more than 4 units.

I'll test out the lights and think hard about the water heaters. One of the 'mini-resorts' that I'm building has a limited electricity supply, so I'm keen to use solar-powered products where these are 'fit for purpose'

A quick correction on the Abo Solar prices. Their solar lights have up to 50% discount whilst their solar water heaters carry a smaller discount if one buys in quantity.

@oilinki, note my correction to the discount available for the water heaters.

Also, I have already ordered 5 units. I'll see how these perform when the resort is ready for test in a couple of months :)

I understood there was still some discount, even if not the 40-50%. The units come from Chiang Mai?

Do you have specifications for the unit and the final price? Would be nice to compare to some other models I have read about.

I might come to see the units at your hotel when you receive those, if that's ok for you.
