True Subscription Tv

Now in Lamphun, and went down town to see about getting sattelite tv. Found True and discovered that they don't have Aljazira or KBS at all. They do have CNN which I loathe, and BBC which is pants

I like Fox, but they have it in the entertainment section, not news- is it the same as the American channel though, and just in the wrong section?

How about English language movies? The only info they have is written in Thai, and I wouldn't believe anything the sales girl says.

Man, I miss Pattaya!

Ihave true package here in buriram.... It has about7 movie channels but to be honest the quiality of movie is poor 80 percent of the time.. I bought it mainly for the sports package which is good if you like football, golf, tennis and a few others

True sucks, but for me, it is my only choice. WHen I travel to Malaysia or the Philippines, the channel choices are so much better, and the prices are half that of True.

But as I wrote, True is my only legal choice other than broadcast tv.

Fox is not Fox news, but Fox entertainment, which features mostly US entertainment shows. It actually isn't a bad addition over the last year to the lineup.

Odd that you like Aljazira and Fox, but not CNN or BBC. Nothing wrong with that, but not many Fox viewers seem to be Aljazira watchers as well.

True is good for the sports but that's about it....... not cheap either!!

Apparently there is some sort of dish you can get with one time payment that gets you hundreds of channels, think it's about 20K but i do not have or know much info about this?

Aljazeera is the best news channel around at present. Their coverage of the Egyptian uprising was far better than anything elsewhere.

BBC and CNN are full of self promotion and regurgitate the same few news items ad nauseam, plus they make the stupid mistake of pretending that sport is news. Millions of events happening everyday all over the world and they show football, arrrrgh.

Fox news is great if you like seeing liberal politicians getting excoriated, and they don't have sports at any time. Plus I like the shows from Bill O'Reilly etc, though not always Hannity, who is too right wing even for me, LOL! The biggest drawback is the amount of advertising that they have to run, and especially the way they make the breaks more frequent towards the end of the show, sometimes there's only 15 seconds of show between ad breaks!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've decided that it's not worth the money. Will stick to the internet and dvds.
