Hi, on a yearly basis, do you rent your motobike? Do you rent it?

If yes, how much do you rent it?

I mean their classic "click", ...

Also, what gazoline to put inside? 91? 95? The green one (cheaper)?

Thanks!

Note : I am on Koh Samui

I rent now and again on Phuket.

Last 2 times: PCX at 300 bath a day (same guy- same bike), a very good deal I suppose, I was quoted 500 bath another place.

In Pattaya I seen places that rent out on monthly basis, the chapier bike, the cheaper rent which sort of make sense, he-he. I think you can get below 100 bath pr day on a old Wave.

depends on the bike

slower or older scooters 3000-4500 a month

top range or faster scooters 5000-7000 a month like elegance / pcx

bigger bikes like d-trackers and ninjas and cbrs are about 12,000 a month in bangkok they are cheaper in pattaya i noticed but so is almost everything else compared to bkk )

harleys can be a couple of grand a day+ ,never rented one but i know a shop on the beachfront that rents harleys so i might get one someday and make some noise on it

I looked into it a few months ago, there are a very big difference in price from place to place. Thaivisa classified is a bit hopeless, advert has to be within x amount of days, that is if you can see the advert at all. so check BahtSold, craiglist etc

Found in BKK a place.. 1 yr rent of a Honda Click i, 2011 model with Insurance 1,800 baht per month, 1 month deposit up front.. bigger bike a bit more up to PCX size 2,700 baht month.. ask around in many places as also found another place that was big discounts on long term but double the above prices.

It depends where in Samui, where you rent the bike... in the Maenam area it's not hard to get at 150 baht a day,for a Click. (not necessarily an older one either) or 2500 baht a month.

If you rent in Chawang or Lamai, I've heard of people paying 300 baht a day for a Click and 500 baht a day for PCX... :o

For PCX 250 baht a day in Maenam (and in Tongsala on KP)... (I forget the monthly rates...off hand).. but it can depend when your rental starts... in slower seasons, you'll likely get a better long term rate.

There are shops around that don't rip you off should you have an accident...

PM me if you want names.

theres a lady in bkk who also doesnt rip you off and has a good few bikes available ,scooters ,d-trackers and ninjas, cbrs (i have her phone number if anybody needs it )

most of the problems i hear about seems to be with those "mafia style guys " that stand near the beach at pattaya tempting customers with shiny bikes at low low prices

when i was in the hotel a german guy told me they made him pay for "engine repair " but the bike was returned in the exact same condition he rented it so they called the police who of course agreed the farang had damaged the engine :whistling: and must pay 500 US DOLLARS or go to the monkey jail .............so the poor bastard went to the atm (was escorted ) and paid them

never happened me but maybe ive just been lucky so far and i only rent from the same people and i keep their phone numbers in case i need to rent again because like any business there will be good and bad persons doings it .....
