Yes, roadside stalls selling seafood at Yaowarat Chinatown. Worth a visit but it's very crowded.

Be very careful with your belonging though.

Don't waste time trying those shark fins and bird nest, they are all fake!! IMHO

The new night bazaar is across from Sukhumvit 101/1 - still not filled, some stalls are empty, but worth a look.

is that near Pratunam...haha Sukhumvit 101 is out in the sticks..... it would take the poor guy his 3 days to get there and back...

The Lumpini Night market is pretty central and a short taxi ride. It has a wide range of everything but be prepared to barter down the farang prices they will ask.

Huay kwang is good but restricted to what the local Thais are buying. On the other hand, a lot of the stalls have the prices written out so you won't be charged farang prices. Tell the taxi Big C or The Mall, Ruamkamphaeng (say it as lam-kam-feng) and it will be about 100 Baht from Pratunam. It gets busy around sunset and you can wander both sides of the road and plenty of food stalls too, seafood but no seafood restaurants as such.

As always, don't carry too much cash or valuables, maybe 3,000 baht or so? If you find something expensive at Lumpini you can always go back with the cash and pay.

Unless he were toi take the skytrain to Sukhumvit 101 or 101/4 and walked the couple of hundred metres.

Or there's plenty of buses that go that way.

Definitely not worth the trip

No visitors, lot of empty stalls, same stuff all over the place...

I'm pretty sure that the Lumpini night market shut down last year. The last time I went, only about 20% of the stalls were left.

Ooops, must admit I haven't been there since April last year.
