So it's Monday now, where is the smart guy with his announcement of the winner.

A member of the ICT Ministry investigative team said it was likely that the hackers were members of the Yingluck's own communications unit with access to the account passwords... which is quite plausible as it's certainly the easiest way to "hack" an account.

the "hacking" is also purported to be a part of unfolding developments...

One would have thought that after hacking the accounts whoever did it could have come up with something better than the lame comments they made.

Clearly the resistance to the government are still utterly incapable of PR.

Posting eight truths in a day is a lot more than the original account holder ever produced.

Pheu Thai Spokesperson: Opposition Has Plot to Overthrow Yingluck Government

The Pheu Thai Party spokesperson said that an anti-government group is planning to topple the government by May of next year.

Pheu Thai Party Spokesperson Prompong Nopparit said that security agencies are reporting that there have been movements by political groups and former power holders, who are planning to topple the Yingluck Shinawatra administration.

Dear Prompong,

Congratulations on uncovering our devious plot. You now have an excuse to blame your failure to implement policies on us and tell your red supporters that we are behind everything including the floods and inflation. If you want suggestions on how to stop us, we recommend you talk to Lady Croft.

Signed,

The Illuminati

Perhaps Red-Shirts who are unhappy with the back-tracking on pre-election promises ? Just a thought. B)

Unlikely. Their modus operandi is to lob bombs, grenades, looting and arson.

Did the TRT/PTP in their entire existance ever tell 8 truths, never mind all in one day.

My fave is Nopphadol. Does anyone else remember when he was lying(any time his mouth moved) his hands and arms used to shrink into his sleeves.

.

Step 1. "We know who the hacker is, we know where he is and we are going to catch the bugger any minute now!."

Step 2: "Ehh... we are not giving details on who the hacker is because it may jeopardize the investigation... eh... yeah, right, that's the ticket!"

Step 3: "We have no idea who the guy is and where he is"

I think it's very easy to find the hacker, just keep an eye out in any tech savvy guy who is laughing himself silly right now.

Thai PM takes Twitter break after account hacked

BANGKOK, October 3, 2011 (AFP) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said Monday she had decided to take a break from Twitter, after her account was taken over by a hacker who mocked and criticised her.

Authorities said they were searching for the anonymous hacker who posted eight tweets on Sunday morning after apparently using a mobile phone to access the premier's @PouYingluck account.

Yingluck said the attack was a "violation of people's personal rights" and the account was "temporarily suspended".

The sister of ousted former leader Thaksin Shinawatra was lambasted on a variety of subjects in the tweets, including her response to recent serious flooding in the kingdom and a number of key government policies.

One of the false tweets questioned a high profile promise to give tablet computers to schoolchildren, saying it was no substitute for education reform, while another accused Yingluck and her government of cronyism.

"How can she protect the country, if she cannot protect her own Twitter account? Think about it," said the final post.

Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) minister Anudith Nakornthap told AFP the hacker had first gained access to Yingluck's email before taking over the Twitter feed and changing the password.

"We have some clues which will lead to a hacker. Authorities will find further evidence that will lead to an arrest," he said.

For now he said the Thai leader will limit her social networking activities to her official Facebook page, which has almost 400,000 supporters.

The username @PouYingluck refers to the Thai leader's nickname, Pou, which means crab.

Yingluck cancels Twitter account; PouYingluck

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra decided to terminate her Twitter account PouYingluck, after a man hacked into her account on Sunday, Information and Communications Technology Minister Anudith Nakornthap said Monday.

Anudith insists that police have identified who was behind the hacking but has declined to reveal a name to prevent the suspect from escaping.

"The police investigation is under way and we are very close to nabbing him," the minister said.

Starting at 10.20am, eight messages were posted to Twitter@PouYingluck by the hacker. Some of them read: "You can't protect even your Twitter account. How can you safeguard the country? Think about it my brothers and sisters," and "Education is most important to the country. But why is there a policy for free distribution of tablets instead of a curriculum or wage hike for teachers?"

Anudith on Sunday claimed the hacker had used a mobile phone application to access PM's account and another app to hide his location.

He claimed he knew who and where the suspect was and it was just a matter of time before police arrested him.

Anudith said a hacker violates computer laws and will face a prison term of not more than five years or a fine of not over Bt100,000 or both.

The minister said Monday the hacking into twitter account is not surprising; even US President Barrack Obama's twitter account was hacked two years ago.

He also urged those who faced the same problem as the premier to alert the authorities.

The prime minister will from now use only Facebook under the account: Y.Shinawatra.

Doesn't this sound so familiar.

We have video evidence about this and that and make it public on this or that date. Then when the date comes they turn quiet at once. Wouldn't surprise me if she posted the tweets herself as she is really the brightest light in the Shinawatra stable.

STOP TALKING.

He's probably just saying that to make the hacker paranoid and afraid... punishment enough, I'd say.
