Phuket To Bangkok During These Floods By Bus

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I am required to travel to Bangkok somewere in the next week and this time i do it by bus. However, im not fully sure if this would be a wise thing to do looking at the floods throughout the whole country. Can it be done or it this just asking for all kinds of trouble (unnecessary risk/messed up schedule/not able to reach destination etc) I've been looking for info but other than that theres just alot of water i cannot find any travel restrictions (haven't asked the bus company yet though)

:)

In ThaiVisa Motoring Forum we have a pinned topic where info on flooded/closed Highways can be found.

Flood warnings have already been issued for Petchbury.

as for next week, who knows, look out the window now

My wife just today drove her car down from South of Bangkok. She's just in the door and says that there were no flooding problems on the route. She drove up on Saturday, no problems. I would think that a bus would not have much trouble.

It's not getting to BKK that's the problem, roads are clear flooding is north of BKK and the city itself. It's being in BKK that will be the problem come the 16th-18th and the high tides are going to be the test,

Even though an expert has said BKK will not flood, he's probably right because the government are moving to save the city, :whistling:

So every where else is and will be suffering. Go to Bangkok Post and read the news!
