Can You Beat Your Computer At Chess?

Featured Replies

I am no expert, but since buying An Apple recently,I have been playing against it regularly

and I cannot win.

Has anyone ?

Or is it impossible?

Try a few non standard openings, such as Queen's opening etc and see what happens.

But yes, resetting the skill level would be better ---- we get rusty, but the machine does not.

I am definitely an amateur, but I am trying to improve my skills playing "Chess Titans" which installed on my computers with Win 7. I have the game set on only level 2 out of a possible 10 levels (10 being the most difficult). I can't even imagine playing at the higher levels.

The stats say I have a Win percentage of 40% and a Draw percentage of 11% with 212 games played. I try to be fairly honest, and not "undo" too many stupid moves. Sometimes frustrating, sometimes pleasing.

I do find that it seems I win more when the computer makes the first move. When I start first, it seems it shows no mercy.:)

So this is a problem that is unique to Phuket?

I must try to download something like that and start at level 1.

I haven't played chess in years but I used to enjoy it.

So this is a problem that is unique to Phuket?

yes, everyone else in bangkok , pattaya and samui can beat the computer

I always win....since i downloaded a program more advanced than the one on the laptop. It wins for me every time!

Edit: Ok I admit it....about 35% success on level 3. sad.gif
