Is It A Good Idea To Travel To Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hey there i have already made my travel plans to come to bangkok in the first week of november. I have made all my bookings and paid for them and i cannot reschedule the trip.

So for you guys who are in the front lines i'm asking only if by november it will be ok to travel to bangkok.

Yes, always a good time, if it turns out Bangkok is under water plenty of places which won't be, only kidding

You will be fine ... as much as you can in Bangkok wink.gif

November is the start of the dry season.

I posted a similar query this time last year as there had been reports of extensive flooding but not quite this bad. I arrived November 1st and left November 16th, I visited relatives at Bangsaray in Chonburi then set off for Chaing Mai, Bangkok and Hua Hin. Believe it or not I didn't see one single drop of rain.

Another week most of the country will be fine.

Don't count on it. It is going to take weeks, if not months, for the country and it seems Bangkok, to recover. The water damage to buildings and streets alone, not counting the immeasurable suffering by the people.

How i wish an other week, here the water is still rising and i expect the village to be flooded in the next couple of days. If the water was stagnant or falling id be more positive. But im not.

Where are you staying? Just left bangkok on monday and no problem on Suk around soi4 and up to asoke. We did have soi4 flooded for a few hours after heavy rain poor me stuck in the bar until water receded
