Just see the other tread,so maybe this will work...I have the '97 Audi A4 with the original "old" wheels. The car has great lines and still looks "up to date"(well,I like it ),but really needs newer looking wheels....so,I've placed an ad in classifieds and been to quite many places(I'm in CM BTW),but no success so far...found one place they offered something that will fit,but the design and the price (about 40K) was not what I'm looking for.I've found a guy who has a 19" second hand set off A6,but I don't think they will fit mine (??),I think the 17" is the max...another set off the Honda Civic (new) only 6K,but the holes are slightly of...so,is anybody around who can give some idea where to find a set that will fit.

I would prefer the second hand ones, because I don't have much budget for it....and the question...what do they do with all the wheels they are taking off cars ? The newer Audis, almost all change to the custom,so where are all the "old" ones go...appreciate your help.

www.wheelsecondhand.com Where do all the Audi wheels go? quickest answer go to Audi and ask.

Thanks for the web Kartman...I did go to Audi dealer first,so why do you think I had to ask this question here ??...because I did not get the answer from them...sorry,the answer was "We don't have" and "We don't know" .

Another option is to recondition them, 700-800 a piece. They come up pretty nice too.

Thanks, but that not an option, because the original wheels are fine and don't really need reconditioning...but they are missing some small hub cover in the center which will cost around 900 Baht each...so better just get something different. Thanks anyway.

Hey,sorry for that mate....I'm still trying to learn my ways here, and being confused is part of it...applying common sense doesn't work,at least most of the time,hmmm....so,what do they do with all the wheels they take in for a trade?Looks like every second car/truck has a custom wheels fitted....

I did change my wheels a few years back, but this was a brand new truck and brand new wheels...and I got 10K discount !:whistling: Now it's little different story and this car is an older one,so I don't want to "invest" to much and nobody will give me 10K discount for my wheels...well,I'll keep looking...and BTW,I did not have to much time to look at this website you've suggested, but it looks like lots of info there...need to translate first...Thanks.

Being a lover of Audi and anything VAG, I always loved the use of bigger Audi rims on golfs etc etc.

I would try and track down some S6 rims, I think you could fit up to 17's without much issue.

Please dont go putting any Jap wheels on, you will kill the Audi's style (and um dignity!)

If worse come s to worse, there are plenty of aftermarket rims to choose from the likes of Enkie, BRM etc. that would suit the A4

I'm not so sure on where but I have knowledge of one VW-Audi garage on the end of Ekkamai- just after Rama 9 between Petburi road, they always have some fine looking Audis sitting there, they might be worth chatting too.

Cheers

Hi MrB,

I know what you mean about spoiling the Audi style...I've looked at some photos and,if I will get what I want...it will probably cost the half of the (Thai) value of this car :)...so have to look for the alternatives...and no worries, the Jap wheels don't fit .The best will be to find the later model "originals"...they must be 17" anyway, somebody has them in the garage....will keep looking.Thanks...BTW,I'm in Chiang Mai,but shipping cost should not be a deal braker...

There are some not bad looking wheels on both of those sites.

I like the Lenso ones personally.

But without seeing the 2nd hand wheels first hand, hard to know the condition. (90-95%- could still have some gutter scrapes).

www.tirerack.com have a visual guide- gives you an idea of what the wheel will look like on your car.

Hi guys...sorry for bringing it back, but my progress here is slow (mostly due to flooding) some places need couple of weeks to regroup etc. ...I've come across a set of wheels from Benz, very nice, but the front and the rear are different sizes...it would look weird on the FWD car,but out of curiosity, just wander if they will fit...the rear big ones are 19'x9.5 with 245/35-19 tires(front 19"x8.5 235s)....I've seen 235s19" fit on A4,but never 245s...what do you think ?? My mechanic thinks, that they may fit,but the wheels are in BKK,so I need to know this beforehand...thanks...BTW,the original wheels for this model are 15" 205/65-15...5 hole,112,High Positive Offset 45-40-35...
