New To Pattaya

Featured Replies

Hi folks. I am new to Thailand and staying Pattaya with a friend. I am from the states and recently arrived from Vietnam. I am curious to know if anyone has any resources I can tap into to find employment in this area. Maybe you know a school in need of a teacher. I have experience teaching, but not specific to teaching Englih. I worked as a teachers aid at a group home for severely emotionally disturbed children. I have a TEFL. I have a lot of energy. I would like to be in Thailand for a while. I am aware that there are more opportunities in Bangkok, but I would like to be a bit loser to my friend who has been living in this area for a while. Thanks for any assistance.

I also have been keeping a blog during my travels of being black abroad if you have any interest. Check it out...

I have lived in Pattaya and taught English for almost eleven years now. I know just about everyone involved in the TEFL business in the Eastern Seaboard. PM me if you want to meet up for a chat.

For the price of a draught chang I will fill you in on where to look for work and give you a list of phone numbers and email addresses of everyone hiring teachers in the area. (I would post them here but forum rules dictate otherwise.).

I'm in town tonight so if you want to hit the ground running tomorrow give me a shout.
