SweRob Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Anyone know of a specific shop in bkk wich sells rubber boots and still have em in stock? And no, im not interested in the ones Yingluck have for 10 000 bath... the cheaper the better...
beano2274 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 They had plenty at Sun Towers today for around 180baht. Yesterday I saw some at Mochit BTS Station on the pavement, the woman was selling life vests as well.
beano2274 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 On the street next to TMB Bank if you walk up it, on the right between Sun Towers and TST there is a young lady selling the very soft comfortable ones that come above the knees, I do not know how much she is selling them for, but they look really good (Bright orange).
UweSchwarzbach Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I think rubber boots, won't be enough. Lucky for me; someone is looking for wading boots (the ones going up to your chest) for me. Even though they are even rarer and a tad bit more expensive.
SweRob Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 Anyone know if they are available at Tesco or Big C?
impulse Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 There's about 100 people selling rubber boots and life jackets in China Town. Around the Klong Tom (sp?) market, there's several on each block.
Pib Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 You can have mine which are knee high versions I bought for 189 baht. I had to leave them behind when evacuating my western Bangkok moobaan (in Khet Talingchan) Tuesday afternoon/1 Nov. If you decide to pick them up right now though you will need to come pick me up in Nakhon Pathom (where I evacuated to) and I will take you to my house to unlock the fence gate... and then you can wade through the water around my house now in the moobaan to get the boots from the rack in the carport. From road level there is 3 to 4 ft of water in my moobaan...since my house foundation is elevated about 3 ft above road level there is only about 1 foot of water around my house walls....still haven't been able to get back just to see how much water is on the first floor/inside. Floods suck.

Floods suck. Why you not just post him the key from your house and the address,I'm sure he will send it back straight after he picked up the boots. On a more serious note, most hardware shops have rubber boots at less than 100 baht a pair.Stock depends if you are in an area where they are much needed at the moment.
