Serviced Apartment In Phuket You Recommend

Heading to Phuket later this week. Would like to stay at least two weeks and prefer serviced apearmtne if I can find one reasonably priced which has:

+ by the week option or daily rate less than 1000 baht - I may stay longer than 2 weeks but not sure

+ a bed compatible to a western middle aged back. Not the Thai style of a little harder than granite type.

+ a desk

+ good Internet

+ reasonably attractive but doesn't have to be high end

+ around 15K or less a month

+ either a good swimming pool big enough for lap swimming or within easy walking distance to beach.

Does such a thing exist?

Thanks for any suggestions

You can check out Phuket Center Apartments in Phuket Town itself. Monthly rate for a studio goes for B9K now. I stayed there before and I like it very much. Security key card access from the lobby, and they are guest oriented. Did not take a deposit from me as 'it will cost money to make transfer' to them.

It's in town and not in the tourist areas of Patong, etc.

I have to second the recommendation for Chaofa West Suites. I have lived here for about a year and after twelve years in the Kingdom, it is the best run place I've lived. If there is a problem they fix it quickly and the staff are all friendly. There are good restaurants within a couple minutes walk and a Family Mart nearby. The internet connection is free and decent as is the cable TV.

one other question regarding these great suggestions, how long do you think it would take to get to Vichit? I have to go to a chiro there - none in Chiang Mai where I'm at now. I have never been to Phuket and don't know the transit times. Google Maps obviously gives estimated times but I've found when I am new to driving in a country that they can sometimes be very deceiving.

Can anyone recommend any other serviced apartments in phuket. I found Chaofa West Suites while surfing the internet and this place seemed ideal but all apartments are rented at present.

I think the OP has been and gone. They were here in November 2011.

I searched through the forum before posting and thought it was better to reply to this thread than start a new one.

mandalaypalms.com Ground floor apartments 15,000THB for 2 weeks.

Thanks for your reply. I am looking to rent a serviced apartment for a month at a time but my budget is about 25,000THB. Chaofa West Suites are about 15,000 a month. If anyone else has any links to other serviced apartments in phuket it would be appreciated.
