Credit Cards Advantages And Disadvantages

Featured Replies

I went and paid my internet provaider (3BB) for a year and got 10% off. So later I got to my great surprise, the two next months a bill for more rent. Found all my bills and receipts I had received as I did the payment and went back to the same office across Tesco Lotus. Strange but now suddenly theire English skills are not so good anymore and they did not accept anything other than that I had to pay for two months.

I went home and took with me my Thai wife and proof from that it was paid by credit card, and emphasized the line with the broad marker pen in blue!

Viola ... Suddenly, I could forget about the two bills, there had been a mistake from one of their employees and now they could suddenly straighten out everything!

We said nothing, just smiled and politely wai.

It's always best to retain receipts for a payment in any form, just incase. 3BB wants a year up front from a farang, but not from a Thai, so I put it in my wife's name. Everything else is in my name....

The reason for the advanced payment might be that they experienced too many farangs who disappeared and took their internet connection with them :whistling:

You don't wai to service personnel.

Don't see the connection with a credit card BTW, simply a matter of paid or not paid.
