I keep getting e-mails to say I have notifications on Facebook.

I click to read them, but when I get to the web page, the logon ALWAYS fails the first time

asking me to repeat the password........ which I did not type anyway, the browser remembered it for me.

When I get in I am told there are no notifications. :bah:

What a crock of sh*t is this "service" is.

You should be careful about this, probably is a fake email with a fake facebook address, so, when it ask you for the password they are actually stealing this information from you, so, I would recommend you to change your password ASAP and be careful with those emails.

I get those emails too, saying I have notifications on Facebook, like you when I login there is no such thing.

I always put it down to,them wanting to keep the customer on the hook,to keep visiting a trivial websight, which people will lose interest in sooner or later, unless they are reminded to login and follow the main flock of sheep.

The whole thing is unbelieveably Boring and Tacky, not to mention intrusive on one's privacy.

We TV regulars have very exciting lives in comparison with FaceBook Addicts.:D

As said, be very careful. I suggest that you change your password now.

If you see those emails I recommend that you lig into Facebook the normal way rather than clicking any link in an email.

The messages seem to be genuine, as after the failed login,

I get another e-mail message from Facebook asying sorry.........

I will look at turning off the notifications.

Thanks

I want to post on a friends wall

but

I dont want any of my other friends to see it

how to do?

You will have to message them as that is private between the two of you.

Also the notifications are now subdued on Facebook, in reality you should only get ones about being tagged, or about

birthdays.

I turned off all notifications and am thankful for it.

How did you do that?

I have looked and cannot see where to do it.
