3Bb Problems With Setting Up Wireless, Help!

Featured Replies

Hi<div>I just switched from ToT (which I have to addmit was working better then 3BB) to 3BB and my router Linksys WRT310N doesn't want to go along with cable router from 3BB (Huawei SmartAX MT880). I set up PPPoE and user ID, password and each time when I switch off power from modems they don't wannt to establish connection by itself I have to forced it manually.Looks like wireless Linksys doesn't send any message to Huawei. Any idea how to setup both to avoid these?? Somebody have these problem with 3BB??</div>

When I switched from True a few months back, I took my Nlink wireless router from True to the 3BB shop because they said they had to reset it to work with their network.

I suggest you talk to the people at your local 3bb shop.

Configure your devices as follows...

SmartAX MT880

Basic

- WAN Settings
    VPI : 0
    VCI : 32
    Mode : Bridge

...and save

Linksys WRT310N

Network Setup

- Router IP
    IP Address : 192.168.1.2
    Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0

- DHCP Setting
    DHCP Server : Enabled
    Start IP : 192.168.1.100

...and save

*** Enter 3BB info in the Linksys router - Internet Setup

*** Connect MT880 to Linksys "Internet port" using crossover/patch cable.

BTW, the VPI/VCI numbers for 3BB is 0/33, not 0/32. Sorry for the typo... The Huawei modem supplied by 3BB should already have it set correctly, so all you gotta do is enable bridge mode on the MT880 device.
